I'm not sure the gist of your question, but might be able to give some info. Are you trying to decide to use Symantec vs some other software?
I used to recommend Symantec several years ago. However, in the past few years, their program has become so bloated, and slows down the computers it runs on, I no longer recommend it. That hold true for the Corporate edition which is for companies, and for the Home version, too.
I recommend Vipre Anti-Virus / Anti-Spyware. AVG is decent, too.
