We had earthworms in 6th grade science class. I think they are gross but cool. They can sence heat and are suprisingly smart. They like water because there bodie absorbs it. They hate dry dirt. They will die in it. You will probroly see that most worms go to the bottom of dry dirt. I havent tryed sand but i would imagine they wouldn't like it because they eat dirt so they would probroly like dirt.
