Composers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus were both fluent in English before they formed ABBA, though lyricist Bjorn admits his English improved during their years together. Vocalists Agnetha and Frida were less comfortable in English, though Frida's English is now flawless. I don't believe Agnetha ever considered herself fluent in English.
The stage play Mamma Mia was written around ABBA's music.
Abba recorded 111 songs, but at least 10 of them were recorded in Spanish in the CD Collection called "Oro" which was the Spanish equivalent of of the English CD called "GOLD". They also recorded many of their songs in French and Swedish (Waterloo) and many others in German. These can be heard in the 4-disc CD collection called "ABBA: The Definitive Collection". The previous writer said they only made five of their songs into Spanish, which is obviously in error as ecidenced by "ORO".
ABBA was made up of the initials of the original band members:Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny, Ani-Frid. But the band was Swedish not Romanian.
Nobody ! Abba composed the song ,sang it in Swedish ,and released it in many countries including US (top 30) but in Britain ,they made a mistake and released an old song (from the previous year) Ring ring which flopped ,while a cover version by sweet dreams duo made it to the top10. featured in the album "waterloo" , it made a place in "More Abba Gold" as a minor hit but featured also in the musical based on Abba's songs "Mamma mia!" and became popular again ! (it was on a sissy spacek film called "marie")
Super Trouper was from ABBA's seventh studio album and was released in 1980.
ABBA is popular because they have very catchy song lyrics and people can easily sing along to their songs. Also because they all have a good beat so people can dance to them and the appear to look really friendly. That's why people like them.
I think there was only one ABBA film, a documentary of the band on tour.
Saab, Volvo and ABBA!
If he does he has not made it public.
Mamma Mia was originally a broadway musical based on the songs of the popular band ABBA. It was released in 2008 and stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.
Yes, a few of their very first songs are English. However they stopped writing in other languages than German shortly after.
you can find most of it on youtube, and some on specialty sites - but most animes have no official english versions of their songs. most will be fan-made or vocaloids.
