There are some rumors hinting that Hitler's grandfather was Jewish, but few Hitler historians believe that this is true, (but see below). This rumor most likely started because Hitler always tried to keep the history of his family secret, but this was most likely because there was a high incidence of insanity in his family history, not because of a Jewish ancestory in his family.

Early in his time as chancellor of Germany, Hitler did assign Joseph Goebbels to research his lineage to find out if he had any Jewish blood. Goebbels reported back that there was a 50/50 chance Hitler was 1/4 Jewish.

Whilst Hitler's ancestry has long been part of numerous conspiracy theories, there is no evidence whatsoever that he had Jewish forebears. Part of the reason for the rumours around his ancestry lie in Hitler's own attempts to hide his family's past due to incest (his father and mother were second cousins, perhaps even uncle and niece).

Many people debate this however i disagree to it for a number of reasons. The main reason being that because Hitler had a personal problem against them which lead to the Holocaust can make people make stories such as him a Jew. Its like me not liking the colour blue and then trying to wipe it from the face of the planet and people being told that I used to use only the colour blue when I was four. I believe however he did grow up with a christian father so many Christianity had somewhat of an effect over him but it did not stop the awful things that occured at his command. And never shall we forget.

Was Hitlers dad Jewish?

No Hitler had no Jewish ancestry

Was Hitler himself a Jew?

No, that is just a myth, Hitler was not Jewish.AnswerNot necessarily true. Even Hitler didn't know for sure; he suspected that he had Jewish blood. His father's birth was recorded as illegitimate; his father's mother had left her job as a housekeeper in a Jewish household because she was pregnant with Hitler's father. As in many things, Hitler did not feel the need to comply with the strict rules for Nazi membership for showing proof of non-Jewish ancestry. He simply avoided any scrutiny of his ancestry.

Was Eva brown hitlers mistres Jewish?

Eva Braun Hitler was not Jewish. If you ever see her on film you can see why she is NOT Jewish. Her parents were Catholic and disapproved of her "sinful relationship" with Adolf Hitler.

Why did Adolf Hitler consider him self a German if he was Jewish?

Answer 1Because Hitler was NOT Jewish. One can be German AND Jewish. Hitler was Austrian anyway....While it is wholly possible to be German and Jewish or Austrian and Jewish, Hitler was Austrian and NOT Jewish. There is a rumor that he was Jewish, but there is no support to this rumor.Answer 2Whether Adolf Hitler was Jewish or not; it is to be recognized that it is the nationality to be German or not German while it is the faith to be Jewish or not Jewish. One can be German or Austrian while he/she is Christian, Jewish, or Muslim. One should not mix between nationality and religious faith.

What were name of the people that helped Adolf Hitler who were Jewish?

There were no Jews that helped Adolf Hitler. Not willingly, at least. There may have been some Jewish people who did as they were told, in hopes of survival, but this can hardly be considered 'helping Hitler'.
