The Native American children's boarding school experience was enough to scar an entire cultural generation. There was the emotional abuse and physical and sexual abuse. Native Americans were considered savage uncivilized vermin. The children were not allowed to speak their own languages. Their hair, that was culturally significant, was chopped off to ear length for the girls and shaved for the boys. They were stripped of anything that was even remotely tied to their families and their upbringing. They were taught that the culture that spawned them was stupid, meaningless, idiotic and trivial. The boarding school experience was an attempt at genocide that very nearly succeeded.
The percent of drug abuse in middle school is 52%.
The school calls social services to report child abuse not the parents. Specially if the child abuse is being done by the parent.
They abuse it?

Here is a list: http://www.soberrecovery.com/links/adolescenttreatment.html . Be SURE to check to make sure the center you choose is a "drug treament center" and not a "theraputic boarding school". TBSes have horrible reputations for abuse and aren't subject to the same regulations.
You can't be HURTFUL and not abuse. Abuse can be verbal, emotional & mental. Talk to someone about it. Perhaps a school counselor or priest.
you tell me
Try to seek out someone to tell about the abuse your suffering at home. Maybe you can speak with a counselor at school. You deserve to be safe from abuse.
The child is usually taken away from the abuser.
I don't know the top boarding schools, but I do want you to be very careful when you consider places such as these. Do a lot of research on a "troubled kid" school before you even consider sending your kid(s) there, because some of these places are extremely (physically and mentally) abusive, and people have died there.
The Child was a victim of abuse. Child abuse is illegal in all states, in schools. The social worker suspects ongoing abuse because the boy comes to school dirty, tired and badly bruised.
