A very small number of British prisoners - for example, some of those who kept on trying to escape - were sent to concentration camps. There were also a very small number who were sent to concentration camps by mistake.

Oswald Mosley who was the leader of the British Union of Fascists for example. --- During the Boer War (1899-1902), when Britain was fighting against guerrillas, it herded the Afrikaners (Boers) into concentration camps in order to deprive the guerrillas of support. Once the Afrikaners were 'cleared' from the Transvaal and other areas, their houses were burnt. Conditions in most of the camps were appalling and about 26,000 out of 127,000 people died there. The Nazis used to claim gleefully that concentration camps were a British invention.
