Caroline Herschel was a German British astronomer who discovered many comets specially '35P/Herschel-Rigollet ' which is named after her. She was the first women to receive 'Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society'. However, to say that he achievements in the field of astronomy changed the way we live today would be an over statement.
Caroline Herschel went to live with her brother, William Herschel, in Bath, England. After moving there in 1772, she assisted him in his astronomical work, which included helping to catalogue stars and discover new celestial bodies. This partnership significantly advanced her own career in astronomy, leading to her recognition as a notable astronomer in her own right.
William Herschel's wife was Caroline Herschel, who was also an accomplished astronomer in her own right. She was born in Germany in 1750 and moved to England to live with William, where she assisted him in his astronomical work. Caroline is noted for her discoveries of comets and was the first woman to receive a salary as an astronomer. Her contributions significantly advanced the field of astronomy during the 18th and early 19th centuries.
