A not guilty verdict does not necessarily mean that she did not kill or cause the death of her daughter. It means that the jury did not find the evidence against her compelling enough to convict her. Many people still believe that she is responsible for the child's death. Witnesses testified that she was a great mother but we also know that Casey was adept at faking many things. Her supporters believe that she had no reason at all to kill her daughter, but one of the conflicts brought out at trial was Casey's issues with her mother's need to control her; that control was, in part, her mother's care and control of the child. She may have killed Caylee to break the control her mother exerted. An opinion of my own is that the child was three, soon to be four years old. Children of that age are well known for speaking what's on their mind and asking embarrassing questions out of honest curiosity. It's part of their intellectual development. Casey may have seen that her false life and her lies would soon be coming to light. The fact that the Duct Tape was not removed from the dead child is a hint at that possibility.
Since Casey Anthony can no longer be prosecuted further in the death of her daughter and no other suspects have come to light, we most likely will never know for sure who killed Caylee or why she died. Casey Anthony is legally not guilty of killing her daughter but the public is free to think what they like.

I would say the probablity is high that Anthony has some form of a personality disorder. Her problems did not begin with the discovery by her parents that her daughter was missing. She has a long history of lying, stealing, and other disturbing behaviour. It is a little frightening that she has been turned lose on society. Irreguardless of the manner of Caylee's death, Casey Anthony's demeanor up until her arrest is absolutely shocking. Her revised story was accidental drowning. Any parent that has lost a child through accident, disease or any other cause, by the very nature of being a parent, would be so overcome with grief to the point of being non-functional. Sharon Rocha (Lacey Peterson's mother), was the embodiment of grief, as was Polly Klaas's parents. They never fully recover. Casey Anthony reminded me of Darlie Routier as she sprayed Silly String on her murdered boy's graves just days after their demise. It is very true that not every person displays emotions in the same way. We all deal with life's tragedies differently. But the behaviour of Casey Anthony tells it's own story. Unfortunately, the jury was not paying attention.

Everyone has to choose how they will expend their own emotional energy. An individual person can't carry the burden of all injustices and cruelly treated children. It's not possible. It doesn't mean that the person is callous, it usually means that the person prefers to expend their emotional energy on their own family, friends, and community where it will have an effect. Some people know that it doesn't matter how much you care about something like the Casey Anthony case, caring will not change anything about it or help anyone involved.

It is believed by most people, that Kaylee Anthony was killed by her mother. Although a jury found Casey Anthony not guilty, a finding of 'not guilty' of a crime does not equal 'innocent' of the crime. The police in the case did an extremely thorough investigation of the case; they exhausted every lead they could find and were unable to find any other person connected to the child except her mother, who was the child's guardian and responsible for the child's welfare at the time of her death. The only information that Casey Anthony would provide the investigators about the disappearance of Caylee was proven to be lies.Caylee Anthony's body, when found, was too badly decomposed to determine the exact cause of death. The evidence in the case was circumstantial and the jury, although not sure of Casey's innocence said there was not enough information to prove her a murderer.This case is very similar to the OJ Simpson case in the fact that public opinion and the jury's decision are going to be very different. The jury found her not guilty on July 5, 2011. Whether or not she is actually innocent is something that we will probably never know.
