No. Central Park wouldn't rank among the 10 biggest U.S. parks, or the 100 biggest parks. It probably wouldn't even make the 1000 biggest U.S. parks list. Central Park is 1 1/4 square miles (3 1/4 square kilometers) in area. It seems that a lot of people are under the impression that Central Park is one of the biggest parks in the U.S., and I really cannot understand why. How could it possibly be that big? It's located on Manhattan Island, which is a tiny island: only 33.77 square miles (87.5 square kilometers).
