Constantine broke every one of the Ten Commandments like few before him, and seems never to have heard of the Golden Rule. A ruthless tyrant, he was one of the most murderous of the Roman Emperors, even murdering members of his own family. When it suited him, he would purge prominent pagan individuals, including the execution of Sopater, a former close friend and adviser, on the pretext that the pagan had magically 'fettered' the winds and thus prevented food from arriving at famine stricken Constantinople. He stole from the pagan temples to enrich the state treasury, using palace Christians because the army refused to commit these acts. This training was useful to the Christians, who soon plundered the temples for the benefit of their own Church.
Even the First Commandment was ignored, as Constantine made lofty comparisons between God and himself. According to Eusebius, Constantine's court reflected the heavenly court, and disobedience to the emperor was a sacrilege, because he ruled by the Grace of God, of whom he was an imitation upon earth. After his death, coinage records that his sons deified Constantine, just as most of his predecessors were.
It is not known whether, or when, Constantine was baptised. It is said that he delayed his baptism until he was near death so that he could continue to sin at his pleasure, in the belief that baptism was a once-only opportunity to receive forgiveness. If Constantine's belief about baptism was correct, then yes, even without any remorse or regret for past wrongs, Constantine went to heaven.
