I'm not sure, but I know someone who owns a Davis 38 Derringer and has "EP" engraved on each side, the TCB/ lightning bolt symbol on the grip, and Elvis Presley signature engraved on top barrel. Is there more out there like this one? I've been trying to help them find info on their gun, but no luck yet.
Remington did not make a 44 cal double barrel pistol. The did however make a 41 cal (rimfire) the double derringer. (model 95) There's 3 type's, 5 models, and at least 15 variations some of which are quite valuable.
When Davis arms went out of business Cobra Pistols bought their equipment and continued to make Derringers under their name. I believe all the parts are interchangeable, See link below for Cobra pistols.
Will depend on the make of derringer. They are not all the same. Would suggest you find a gunsmith to do this one. It is cheaper than taking one to them AFTER you work on it.
Yes. Be sure to clean the chamber properly after shooting shorts- they can build up a ring of fouling that will make chambering LR cartridges difficult.
