Assuming you mean the biblical prophet ... The Bible actually goes out of its way to avoid saying outright that he died, or using one of the usual euphemisms (such as "slept with his fathers"). Instead it refers to him as being "lifted up" by a whirlwind, implying that he was taken bodily into heaven without having to die.
