It is a real possibility, given the moral views of George III, then the Prince of Wales, but the truth will never been known. Any information or documentation which may have or in the future may come to light will be quashed. In line with the duty of a monarch to follow protocol, once Hannah Lightfoot disappeared and he was faced with his duties to the realm, he would have entered into the arranged marriage and fulfilled his role to the best of his ability. It is sad that he ultimately died of insanity, possibly connected to porphyria. But to his credit, he was the best of the three original Hanoverian kings of England
