No, Jesus came to die for mankind, but he did it willingly. No one made him do it. (John 10:17,18). Even so, Jesus happily obeyed God's commandments in all things. (John 15:10), but there was no need for God to command Jesus to come to earth.
God "sent" his son to do a job, (John 3:16) confident in the knowledge that his trusted son would complete it successfully, and willingly, out of love for his father. (John 8:29) (John 10:14&15) We can see this from a few scriptures.
(Psalms 40:7, 8) prophecies how the messiah would feel about doing God's will : "Your law is in my very heart." The fulfillment of this can be found in Jesus' words at:
(John 4:34, 35): "My food is for me to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work.
(John 2:13-17) "The zeal for your house will eat me up." (Psalm 69:9)
(John 6:38) "I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me." John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 15:28; 11:3
He died as a 'ransom sacrifice' buying back what disobedient Adam had lost (Romans 5:19), and giving obedient mankind the opportunity to live forever, if they would listen to Jesus and follow his example of faithfulness.
Jesus came to earth to bear witness to the truth, to maintain integrity under pressure and so vindicate his Father's name, and to give his life a ransom for many. (John 18:37; Hebrews 5:8, John 6:40, Luke 4:43, Matthew 20:28; John 15:13) and everything he did was out of love, not because he was ordered to.
forgiveness of our sins
By believing that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for people's sins, and by asking for forgiveness for your sins, and asking Him into your heart.
Because it reminds them that Jesus died on the cross to forgive Christians (like me) of our sins
Jesus was put to death to die for our sins. If Jesus didn't go to the cross we as human beings would not be able to ask God for forgiveness for all our sins. But Jesus rose again. Hallaelujah Brother!
" Jesus wants us to ask him into our hearts and lives,. we need to ask forgiveness for our sins, and believe he died on the cross and rose again for us."
Jesus died on the cross to save us. When he died he took our sins upon him so we will always be forgiven if we ask him for forgiveness.
The blood he spilt on the cross is a symbol of His sacrifice. In the Old Testament the Jews would have the blood of an animal split to sacrfice for their sins. Today we have the blood of Jesus Christ that we can claim for the forgiveness of our sins. We no longer have to make a sacrifice. Jesus is our sacrifice every time we do something wrong and ask forgiveness. There more we do wrong the more it hurts Jesus.
it means that Jesus shows Forgiveness in all he does. He forgives us for our sins. He expects us to do the same.
If they believe that Jesus died for there sins and have asked for forgiveness for their sins, then yes.
Jesus Christ forgives the sins of anyone who believes and asks for forgiveness.
The inexhaustible source of forgiveness of sins is God's unconditional love and grace through Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Him, we can receive forgiveness for our sins, no matter how many times we fail. God's forgiveness is infinite and freely available to all who seek it.
You must repent of your sins , and believe that Jesus did die for your sins on the cross.
