Did God create everything living

A:Christians believe God created every living thing, although many now believe that he used evolution to achieve his creation. Others, such as Hindus, believe other gods created living things. AnswerYes. And most Christians nowadays believe in the mechanisms of evolution to achieve this. I will ignore the staus of Hindus as the above answer addresses this, and this question was posed in Christianity.

There are several reasons for believing in evolution as wel as God as Creator, but here are just a few:

1. Genesis was originally written in the Hebrew as an allegorical poem and was never expected , even in Biblical times, to be taken literally. Despite great truths in the Story of Creation, the process by which the world came to be was quite different in timescale and method. And Creationists today seem to have missed the point of the history and nature of this book. It's interesting that Paul only mentions Adam a few times and always allegorically; Jesus never mentions him at all.

2. The Anthropic Principle suggests strongly that there is design within the universe in that at the moment of Creation (the 'big bang') space and time were created, but also the most fundamental laws and constants were also created and are so finely tuned that life can exist. the slightest variation from any of these laws or constants mean that the universe would never support life.

3. Christians believe that God is continuing in his creative process by maintaining the universal laws to make continued life possible.

4. Theologically it is much less sound to believe in a God that creates in six 'earth' days and then 'rests' (as if God needed rest) and then let the universe carry on with little or no intervention.

It is more theologically sound to believe in a God of ultimate and supreme love who has taken aeons of time through evoolution to fulfil his creation culminating in the evolution of humankind. As an allegory, which clockmaker would love his creaton more - a clockmaker who was a magician who clicked his fingers and a clock appeared, or one who, over many years, had painstakingly and lovingly made every single part on his lathe and finally heard the reward of its ticking?
