Most religions are relatively silent on WHY God created the world (assuming the religion teaches that God DID create the world, as opposed to it being a creation of some other being or an accident). So, bottom line: we would need to know what specific religion you're referring to when you ask the question for it to make any sense at all, and even then, it might not have an answer (at least not an answer that anyone other than God himself (or herself, or itself, or themselves) knows).
'GOD' didn't even create Earth there for he didn't move it from else where! :)

If you are talking about the monotheistic Abrahamic religion, then, no, God did not invent himself. He is by definition, the First Cause, someone always extant.
In simple terms, you cannot create other idols or gods except for God himself who is the one and only God Almighty, Creator of the Earth.

Yes. In Genesis, it says that God created both Heaven and Earth, which means everything in Heaven and in Earth. Yes, He did create EVERYTHING.
It was created by the Lord God himself
because he is God and he has the power to do everything it says it in the bible in Genesis and in Revelation. Answer: The Bible is quite clear that the God Family and spiritual beings are 'living' in the 3rd Heaven or 'Highest Heaven' which is where the 'Throne of God' has always been. However, the true message of the Kingdom of God reveals that God Himself, and His Son will come to the 'New Earth' and live with His new family of sons and daughters - read Revelation 21 for final note. Being God means He sustains and is in all things via the power of His Holy Spirit. The Earth is His focal point since the renewing of it in Genesis 1.
