The date? No
there is no conservative catholic group large or influential enough to have the date of Halloween moved, it's the 31st, just like every other year my friend
the attitude towards Halloween has changed... how? well its changed because people never used to believe in it as such however now do. people go out and get sweets and money from store to store, house to house although used to never even let this topple their mind.
i dont really know but maybe they decided it was shorter
Halloween has changed over time because in Ireland back long long ago they didn't go trick or treating because no one thought of going trick or treating because it was a long time ago and all they would do is tell scary stories at mid night and talk to the gost that haunts them.
To scare evil spirits back into their graves. Halloween is when the ghosts/spirits wake up and are allowed to roam the earth, costumes scare them away. It was once known as All Hallows Eve. Nowadays we dress up because Halloween has been changed by the candy companies in order to get more money.
