Ernest Roehm, the leader of the SA had increasingly public disagreements with Hitler in 1934. It was a worry to Hitler as the SA were anextremely powerful force which were even morepowerfulthan the army.Roehm had radical ideas about replacing the Army with the SA, so Hitler wanted to get rid of this opposition.Hitler agreed to an oath with the Army that if he got rid of the SA leaders, the SA would be under their control, but they would have to sign a oath of loyalty to Hitler. Kershaw describes that moment as 'the symbolic moment when the Army chained itself to the Fuhrer.'
They would because of the things adolf hitler was doing.Adolf hitler was trying to get rid of the jews, so that would want the Jews to get rid of the people he loved the most
Hitler hated the Jews as they were rich and powerfull. Also it was an escape route, so the German people had someone to blame.
The SS did not exist in WW1. The SS arose out of the SA. Hitler killed the leader of the SA and got rid of the SA overnight (The Night of the Knives) and created his own police which guarded him and policed the regime - hence the Gestapo.
People who are afraid of things hate them and want to get rid of them. Hitler was afraid that the Jews were too powerful, so he started a campaign against them and had millions of them killed.
1937
The SA helped Hitler gain power by scaring German people.
Hitler purged the SA to remove some political rivals within the Nazi Party and to gain the support of the German Army.
Hitler wanted to get rid of the Jews, but his hostility was racial, not religious. He also had Jehova's Witnesses sent to concentration camps because they were pacifists. As far as is known, Hitler had no plans for getting rid of any other religion.
