Nothing major, just weather related problems from snow and flooding in localised areas. Ireland generally does not have any significant natural disasters.
Great famine.
What Natural Disasters have happened in Ireland in the last 5 years?
Ireland does not get really severe weather, but there are storms and floods. Those are the main natural disasters. Ireland is not in an earthquake zone, but occasionally minor tremors can be felt, but they would not do any damage. There are no active volcanoes in Ireland. It is not hot enough for droughts. In the 1840s a bout of potato blight destroyed the potato crop, a staple food in Ireland, causing a famine. Potato blight can easily be dealt with now, so that no longer poses a problem. So generally, in terms of natural disasters, Ireland is a good place to live.
The famine, the floods in 2009 the big freeze in 2009 and a few more i cant remember.
