No, he didn't. He studied music under his famous father and (perhaps) his brother Johann Elias Bach until his father died. He then studied under his brother Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach for a few years before going off to Vienna to study under Giovanni Battista Martini.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) learned about music composition from his family during his upbringing, and from many years of practical experience. A prolific composer of many venues inside Classical literature, and one of the greatest organ composers ever known.
Bach first went to the Lyzeum (Latin school) in Ohrdruf, Thuringia, being a model student. When the grant that had made his education there possible was unexpectedly terminated, he changed to the Michaelis School in Lüneburg, Northern Germany, where he continued to be one of the youngest and best students, and served as a singer and violinist. During this time, he apparently took keyboard lessons with Georg Böhm, a fellow Thuringian who served as organist at the church St. Johannis, and probably enjoyed occasional composition lessons with Jan Adam Reincken of nearby Hamburg.
Bach left Lüneburg in 1703, and after a short episode at the Weimar court, took his first position at the Neue Kirche in Arnstadt. Already then (18 years of age), he enjoyed a reputation as being the foremost organist of his time.
J.S Bach didn't attend college. His father was a professional violinist and taught him the violin. His brother taught him keyboard instruments after this parents' died and he took Johann into his home. J.S. attended St. Michael's Choir School in Luneberg from 14-18. He then took a job as an organist in the church at Arnstadt.Type your answer here...
