As Busby was creating the treaty Busby got ill so gave it to Hobson to complete.Hobson looked through the draft of the treaty and later created his own version.Hobson got Priest Williams to translate it into maori.Hobson tried to convince the maori to sign it but didnt.Then Hobson decided to have another go at getting the maori to sign the treaty.The next day they did.Now over 500 chiefs have signed the treaty.
