Did Jesus exist in the world?

Yes. " In the beginnig was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us ( John 1:1, 14)." "Iwas in the spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice as of a Trumpet saying, I am the alpha and omega, the first and the last: ... And I turned to see the voice that spoke to me. And being turned I saw ... one like unto the son of man ... . And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not;I am the first and the last: I am that liveth and was dead: and behold I am alive forevermore, Amen; 9 Rev. 1:10-18."

Let me but in for a moment... Jesus was a man, in theory living to be about 33 years of age and about 2000 years ago. However, we were not there, we hadn't been given birth to yet obviously, so we can only assume these facts to be true. That said, the teachings Jesus espoused came from Christ, (translated as "the anointed meaning conscious of GOD as supreme), sometimes referred to as the "Personage of Love." These teaching came to be known as the foundation of the New Testament of the current Holy Bible used by Christians which translates as "one who is like Christ." Further, if one looks into the history of spiritual evolution of human kind in general one will find these teachings are universal and have been taught by one individual or another since teaching has been recorded. Therefore by this evidence we may conclude that Jesus, the son of Joseph of Arimea (sp?) existed for short period of time and the teachings of Christ have existed in the collective mind of all humanity since humanity came into being. That period of time is of great concern to serious students of spirituality and GOD consciousness as there is evidence humans existed much further back than academia would have us believe.

It is also important to consider that belief is not necessarily knowing. Fact as reported is not necessarily Truth and one person's Truth may be different from another person's Truth. Taking someones word on something without examining the reality of that word is called indoctrination. Indoctrinated beliefs make us less individualistic and more automatic in our responses to new "truths." Mankind is the only creature that will attack another of his kind simply because they do not agree on beliefs.

The Son of God is eternal. However, as Jesus the man, He had a birth, a life and a death. And, a resurrection. Scripture says "for God so loved the world He sent His only begotten Son...". The eternal Son of God entered the world as a baby and was given the name Jesus, as God had commanded Mary to name Him. Jesus lived, died and was raised to life having successfully defeated the devil and death itself, as well as having paid the price for all our sin. Scripture also says Jesus is the "firstborn from among the dead.." All those who trust in Jesus' death on the cross for their sin will experience the very same renewal to life from the grave. I apologize for this less than straightforward answer, but scripture doesn't make it simple for us. I can't wait to sit at Jesus' feet and learn more about His experience, as He broke into human history to change the world forever.
