Yes Christ organized His church calling Peter, James and John to be the First Presidency of the church. The church WAS NOT organized on Peter, but upon revelation which Peter had when he said that Jesus was the Christ. Only by revelation can one know that Jesus is the Christ. This was how Peter knew, but the church was not built upon him. The church was Christs and His alone and still is.
