A:

Jesus would seem to have continued to believe in God as he suffered on the cross. In the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, his last words were, "My God. My God. Why hast thou forsaken me?"

Of course, if we realise these very words are from Psalm 22:1, and consider that a dying man would scarcely think back over his knowledge of the scriptures to find exactly the right words to announce his death, we would then say that these were not really the words of Jesus, but of the gospel author. And if the author invented these last words, how do we know how much of the crucifixion story was invented and how much was real. This leads us into a situation where we do not really know what Jesus believed, or if he was crucified at all.

Will Jesus abandon you if you believe him to be god incarnate without being a christian?

If you believe Jesus is a god then you are a Christian, baptised or not. There are also religions that believe in Jesus but do not believe him to be god. There is no evidence in their literature to suggest they will or can be abandoned by Jesus. If you are not a Christian or any other religion that believes in Jesus then the question is moot, it does not matter if Jesus abandons you.

Why would anyone think that Jesus was not sent to earth to save us from our sins?

AnswerThere are many reasons people could fail to believe that Jesus was sent to save us from our sins: They may, for example, be Hindus, and believe that Brahma did not send Jesus. Therefore, to a Hindu, Jesus was merely a man. They may be Jews, who believe in God, but do not believe that Jesus was sent by their God.They may be Muslims, who believe in the same God, but do not believe that Jesus was sent by God to save us from our sins. They believe that Jesus was merely a prophet. They may not believe in God. If God does not exist, he could not have sent Jesus.
