In Matthew's Gospel, the risen Jesus showed himself to Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, and then to the disciples in a mountain in Galilee. It does not appear that he was seen by non-believers.

In Luke's Gospel, Jesus showed himself to Cleopas and another on the road to Emmaeus, and then to the eleven disciples in a room in Jerusalem. He then took the disciples out towards Bethany, where he was taken up bodily to heaven on the evening of his resurrection. In this account, it is unlikely that he was seen by non-believers.

Acts of the Apostles, by the same author, but written some time later, says that Jesus was seen by the apostles and other believers for forty days and was then taken up bodily to heaven. This was a longer period on earth, giving opportunities for him to be seen by non-believers, but Acts does not suggest this, emphasising the faithful to whom it says he appeared.

In John's Gospel, Jesus showed himself to Mary Magdalene, then to ten of the disciples in a room in Jerusalem, and eight days later to all eleven disciples in the room in Jerusalem, and later to the disciples at the Sea of Galilee. This was also a longer period on earth, giving opportunities for him to be seen by non-believers, but John does not suggest this.

Mark's Gospel was the original gospel account, and originally ended at verse 16:8, with the young man saying that Jesus was risen and the women ran off in terror, telling no one; the "Long Ending" (verses 16:9-25) were added much later, to provide the necessary evidence of the risen Jesus. So, in the original of the Gospel, Jesus was certainly not seen by non-believers. In the "Long Ending" there is no suggestion that he could have been seen by non-believers.

How do the Gospels show that the resurrection was historical?

The gospels do not show that the resurrection of Jesus was historical. In fact, the widely divergent descriptions of the appearances of the risen Jesus do more to suggest that it was not historical. At the very least, the discrepancies in the different stories show that they really knew nothing about it.

How do the Gospels try to show us that the resurrection of Jesus was a historical event not just something the apostles made up?

Mark's Gospel originally did not contain any material that attempted to show that the Resurrection of Jesus was a historical event. It originally ended at verse 16:8, after the young man told the women that Jesus was risen, and the fled, telling no one. Because this left open the possibility that there was no actual Resurrection, the "Long Ending" (there was also at one stage a "Short Ending") was added much later, to show that the Resurrection was real, not simply made up by the apostles. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke are now known to have been based on Mark, but each evangelist had to contend with the fact that their source did not tell them anything about the supposed Resurrection. Each evangelist wrote an account of the Resurrection and each tried, in different ways, to show that Jesus really had risen. Matthew reported the elders giving money to the guard, to say that his disciples came by night and took his body, and that this claim was still to be heard among the Jews to this day - if a Jew ever said this during the decades that followed, it would have been 'proof' of the Gospel. Luke relies on a graphic account of the appearance of Jesus to the apostles, showing them his wounds and eating some fish - although this could easily have been something the apostles made up. Luke also has Jesus ascend bodily to heaven, avoiding questions about what happened to Jesus after his Resurrection appearances.John's Gospel does not really concern itself directly with proving that the Resurrection was a historical event. Indirectly, the ability to raise Lazarus, along with the frequent assertions that Jesus was God, would have been seen as proving that Jesus was capable of rising from the dead.

Why did Jesus tell Mary Magdalene not to touch him?

According to me: Jesus, after resurrection is only an image like God. There is no visible form itself. But he can display himself to others whom he like. When he was asking Thomas to touch, again he formed to visible image, but Thomas not touched him. Like every appearance, he was making display to others. He is there, but we cannot see with naked eyes today. If he likes to show, then he can.
