No. Luke's Gospel has John the Baptist send a message to Jesus, asking whether he was the one who was to come, and the other gospels have no message from John at all.
Our historical source on John the Baptist is the first-century Jewish historian, Josephus. His information is that John was imprisoned in the year 35 CE for publicly criticising Herod Antipas' marriage to his own brother's former wife. Since it is traditionally believed that Jesus was crucified in either 30 or 33 CE, it would not have been possible for John to ask Jesus to visit him in jail.
because siant john listened to jesus whatevere jesus ask him to do , he do
Al jails have regualr visiting hours, Call the facility and ask what they are.
Yes, Jesus asked St. John the Apostle to care for his mother and for his mother to be the mother of John.
Two disciples next to Jesus could refer to Peter and John, who were often mentioned as being close to Jesus during his ministry. Another pair often mentioned together are James and John, known as the "sons of thunder."
The apostle John. While on the cross, Jesus requested that John take over care of His mother. Scripture refers to John and the disciple Jesus loved. Not that He didn't love them all, but apparently He must have had a special relationship with John.
The Person who baptized Jesus was John the Baptist( Jesus' cousin) and when John baptized Jesus, God, His father came from heaven and told the people who Jesus was ans what he would do. God is the only real God who is Jesus' father and who is also Jesus Christ. its a bit confusing :) but Jesus Christ is the only true God and if you don't believe in him and ask him into your life then you may not live in eternity. (heaven)
The two disciples were John and his brother James. Actually they did not ask for the right to the throne, but rather to sit on the left and right of Jesus when He took the throne.
yes jesus said it when john sent some of his desciples to go and ask jesus if he was really the christ.and the reply was that go and tell john that the blind see, the lame walk, and the dead are raised . in conclution, jesus said that among born of women, there is no one greater than john but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
About six months after John begins preaching, Jesus at 30 years old, comes to him at the Jordan river to ask John to baptize him. This shows Jesus humility and deep respect for John who right away objects saying "I'm the one needing to be baptized by you". But Jesus insist to John to "Let it be, this time, for in that way it is suitable for us to carry out all that is righteous".
You would have to ask a rabbi this question; but generally, a rabbi preaches about the Old Testament and the Jew's religion, and as such they cannot believe in Jesus, as the Apostle John says when he talks about them in John 12.39 & 40
His hands and his head. See John 13:9.
yes when he sent his disciples to Jesus and had them ask if He was the messiah or should they look for another
