John the Baptist prepared the way for the teaching of Jesus and died a martyr for his faith. Jesus said of John the Baptist in Luke 7:28 - "I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John".

It was Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus (see Luke chapter 22).

There is no record of John betraying Jesus. Judas is the one that betrayed Jesus. He led the enemies to capture Jesus at night where he was praying
