yes
he started to. then he fell in love with anne boleyn.
Katherine Parr, she took care of him is his dying days and brought all the children together. She gave up her love to marry Henry, and was a good wife to him. She was a good Step mother as well.
Henry VIII married Catherine Parr so that he could have a male heir (a son) take over the throne once he had died. This is the reason for him marring all his wives. << tecnically Henry already had a male heir ! Reason1 He needed a spare male heir because if Edward died then Mary would rule Reason2 Henry was very ill and needed a wife to nurse him
He was infatuated with her and still had hope for a son. Seeing as he was getting increasingly impotent, it was most likely he could only beget one with a woman for whom he held strong desire.
Henry VIII
Yup.
Catherine Parr Catherine was the last of King Henry VIII's six wives. Before marrying the King, she had formed a relationship with Thomas Seymour, the brother of Henry's third wife Jane Seymour. She married the King 0n 12th July 1543, having already been married twice to men who were considerably older than she. Henry VIII died on 28th January 1547 and Catherine then married Thomas Seymour, but died a year later from complications of childbirth.
Henry VIII loved only those wives who gave him a son.
Princess Mary
Anne Boleyn
Henry VIII was a King that needed an heir I doubt if love had anything to do with the women he married. As it became obvious to him that he could not get an heir from one wive he got himself another.
