Did Malcolm Turnbull strangle his ex girlfriends cat?
It has been alleged that he killed his ex girlfriends cat after sending a series of love letters to it. From the Herald: "Malcolm's fugues were notorious; such as the time [as a young single man] he allegedly punctuated an altercation with a friend by disposing of her cat. He became uncommonly belligerent and histrionic, threatening vengeance on people, including occasionally himself." From Crikey, this excerpt appears in a cartoon: "Dear Nessie, Tell your miss that I love her very much, tell her that when I came to see her on Sunday and she wasn't there I cuddled you up and it broke my heart that it wasn't her. Tell her I know a lot of her current boyfriends will tell her not to see me, they will stroke her back and tell her to forget me. The cartoon, featuring a cat talking to a dog goes on to say: "It is like a beautiful opera with a handsome young turk, who is spurned by a beautiful girl and pours his heart out to her cat and then the cat mysteriously dies and the two lovers are parted for ever it is just like the movie of the Titanic without the boat or the iceberg."
