Polo's ship sank because there was a hole in the bottom and it flooded the ship, but as you can tell Marco Polo didn't drown, only about 20% of his crew did, I hope this helped. :)

One result of the travels of Marco Polo was he wrote a book about his adventures while he was imprisoned, after he was caught in battle, his book inspired other Europeans to explore, such as Colombus.
Marco polo accomplished the silk road and he traveled with his father and his uncle a lot and the people in khan made him run errands and do things to help their country ! I hope this helps you :)
