No. Mexico was in the middle of its own Mexican Revolution (1910-1921). It however, was involved in a scandal, known as the Zimmerman Telegram, that precipitated the US into war against Germany. Long story short, the telegram was sent to the Mexican president by the German Ambassador, Arthur Zimmerman, asking Mexico to attack the United States in exchange of financial and arms support, and the possibility of reclaiming Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. the telegram however, was intercepted by British intelligence and forwarded to the American President, providing enough casus belli to enter the war.

After the United States broke off relations with Germany, German foreign secretary Arthur Zimmermann invited Mexico to join Germany against the United States. He promised Mexico United States land if it helped them out. In February of 1917 British cryptographers decoded the telegram and it was published. When the Zimmermann telegram was published, the United States' public opinion changed and cause the president to declare war.
Nothing at all. However, to prevent the US to enter the War in 1917 the German ambassador in Mexico Arthur Zimmerman proposed Mexican president Venustiano Carranza to make war against the United States. The proposal was declined by Mexico, but angered Americans so much the US entered the war in April of that same year.

Mexico was never directly involved in the First World War, but there is an absolutely fascinating episode, referred to as The Zimmerman Telegram, which you can read about by following the link below. Also, the great historian Barbara W. Tuchman wrote a short but exciting book on the subject entitled The Zimmermann Telegram: (Ballantine Books; 1958). Find it at your local library. Politics and war make for strange bedfellows indeed.

Mexico never got involved on WWI. However, the Mexican president received a note from the German ambassador in Mexico, asking for a declaration of war against the US. It also stated that Germany would provide support in the reclamation of part of the territories lost during the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). Specifically, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

The note, known as the Zimmerman Telegram, was intercepted by the British intelligence and forwarded to the US government. This prompted the US to declare war against Germany and join WWI.
