Mosskit did join Starclan as you will learn (if you haven't already) in Warriors Field Guide: Secrets of the clans. He died while Bluestar was bringing Mosskit, Stonekit, and Mistykit to their father: Oakheart of riverclan.

Edit: In Secrets of the Clans, StarClan knew that Mosskit was going to die at least a short time before it happened. Snowfur and Moonflower, in StarClan, watch as Bluefur leads her three kits to the RiverClan border. Snowfur notes that the decision is "for the good of the Clan," while Moonflower argues "but (it is) not for the good of the kit." They seem to know that only one of the kits will not make it. When Mosskit dies, Snowfur is waiting to guide him to StarClan.

∙ 14y agoWe don't know for surewhether Mothwing will join Starclan when she dies or not, but although she does not believe in Starclan, she serves her clan faithfully and lives by the Warrior code. It is for this reason that I believe that she will join Starclan when she dies.

I'm not sure about the cats that have never heard of StarClan, but are good. Even if some cats believe in StarClan, but they do some really bad things, then they go to the "Place of No Stars".
