She is on record in various publications as having said that her order fed 4000, 5000, 7000 or 9000 people in Calcutta every day but Aroup Chatterjee, in a Deposition submitted before the committee for beatification of Mother Teresa, stated that her soup kitchens (numbering between two and three) in Calcutta did not feed more than 300 people daily, even as a generous over-estimate. I'm not sure exactly what God said, but this is what happened: In 1946 there was murderous riots in India. Mother Teresa says that God spoke to her and asked her to help the poor people who were suffering.
she brought peace and love to the world and helped others to be them self's she also helped people when they where sick or poor she was a bit like Gandhi who is also a hero!!!!Because she worked for no money except that which she used for she and her assistant volunteers to give food and drink and medical aid to the very poorest people of India. There is already one St. Teresa, but she will become the second one before many years have passed.
Mother Teresa gave her whole life to God, one of the ways that she did this was in serving the poor, but her whole dedication in life was to God. She never had any money, she was a sister, vowed to poverty.
"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Teresa " We are not nurses, we are not doctors, we are not teachers, we are not social workers. We are religious, we are religious, we are religious." (quoted by Angelo Devananda) "God is a friend of silence. His language is silence." "Don't judge people beforehand for if you judge people, you have no time to love them!"
Whether or not she had a favourite motto, there is one quote that would serve as a motto: "We are not nurses, we are not doctors, we are not teachers, we are not social workers. We are religious, we are religious, we are religious."(quoted by Angelo Devananda)
