Hinata is alive, but Naruto won't love her because of the confession. He was never attracted to her like he was to Sakura, so why would that change? So what if she was the first one who said " I love you"? That doesn't change anything. Naruto won't fall in love with Hinata if he's already in love with someone else(Sakura) just because of a love confession. If he did, does that even sound realistic to you? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he respects her a lot more than he used to and has new understanding of why Hinata has been so strange and weird around him(a plus for NaruHina), but Naruto won't love her unless he spends more time with her, but that would be too much time and romance in a Shonen, so that won't happen. I understand that you would want NaruHina to happen, but thinking something like that is too much wishful thinking. I'm not saying its impossible but highly unlikely at this point in the story. You have to at least admit that.
