Yes, I just bought one
The shotgun is like new..
Remington model 11
Are you sure it's an auto and not a pump action, it sounds like the predecessor to the Remington Model 10.
Sounds like a model 11, 1905-1947.
Remington Model numbers are normally on the left face of the receiver. Early shotguns and rifles did not have a model on them at all. Like for example the early Model 11 shotguns which I suspect you have if it doesn't have a model. probably pre-20's need serial to know.
Remington made neither a shotgun or rifle model 1890, sounds like you are might be talking about a model 12-C or 12-CS pump rifle. Until it's identified correctly and a GOOD description of it's condition, valuation is impossible.
Don't do it! This is a job for an advanced gunsmith only. All parts are hand fit and under spring tension. These old Remington shotguns are like a Chinese puzzle. Special tools are also needed.
No, the 11-87 is a semi auto shotgun. If you saw a pump action which looked like an 11-87, it may have been a Remington 887.
Coast to Coast Model 267 20 gauge according to Proohouse.com is the Savage model 77; however it looks like a Remington 870 clone to me. Ron Montgomery rgmont@verizon.net
If your gun is the origanal model 10 it will have an A,B,or C at the end of model 1o on the bridge and barrel . we think the gun with the B is the most exspensive gun. they are used here in Kentucky for shooting matches. One of the best guns made for shoting matches.there is a model 8 that looks like a model 10. The Model 10 shotgun was a pump-action takedown shotgun made from 1910-1929. It was offered in various grades, but the most often seen plain version sells for around $200 in working order. Model 10 begain production in 1908 - 1929 it was made for 21 yearsThe Remington Model 10 slide action shotgun was made from 1911 to 1929. In 100% condition, it books at $300. In 60%, $110.
i have the same serial # and i found out that it was a 1973 remington and it shoots like hell i hate it its to old
Seems like I've seen the Model 11a autoloaders for sale at $350-$500 depending upon condition. Original finishes in good consition raise the value. Refinishing detracts as does poor condition.
