There's very little evidence that the two men ever met. Braveheart is a good film, but it's just a film, not a historical documentary. The story is completely inaccurate.
No one knows for sure but probably not. Wallace was fighting the English under the banner of King John (Balliol) who was a rival of Bruce's for the Scottish throne. So Bruce could not be seen to be at war with the English under the flag of one of his rivals.
