If you are asking, as I think you are, whether William Shakespeare contributed to charity in his lifetime, the answer is probably yes, although we have no record of whether or not he did. Contributing to charity can be as simple as giving a coin to a beggar.

Have the works of Shakespeare been used to raise money for charity over the last 400 years? Absolutely. As an example, the Prince of Wales organized a recording of extracts of Shakespeare (including one of himself playing the part of the Prince of Wales in Henry IV Part I) which he sold in order to raise money for one of his many charitable projects.
