I gotta question an inquiry about a "Subaru Loyale" connected with 1986. Subaru "Loyale" cars were produced by Subaru for the N. American market in the years 1990-1994. Classed as a "subcompact" car, the Loyale replaced the Leone (first brought to N. America in 1972). These early cars were sometimes called by their trim level, which included: DL, GL, GLF, GL-10, and RX; sometimes the engine size would also form part of the name. 4WD station wagons did not make it to N. America until 1975, so probably what you are looking at is a Leone station wagon of some trim level with 4WD.
Yes, it is a LOT of work, but yes. The ONLY thing you will have to make up (well, other than getting power to the "shift on the fly") is something to hang the rear driveshaft center bearing, your 2 wheel drive car has nothing, so a couple of pieces of flat iorn, bent into an "L" shape, and mounted to the sides of the driveshaft tunnel (welded?, bolted?) will do the trick.
Yes , it's rear wheel drive
No , a 1986 Chevy Caprice is REAR wheel drive
Yes
1986
Yes, all Caprice and Impalas 1996 and older were rear wheel drive vehicles.
yes
No they are not, 1985 is rear wheel drive & 86 on is front wheel drive.
No there rear wheel drive rims are different than front drive rims
It depends on if it is two or four wheel drive, a 4x4 is 48 inches
yes you can. just take off the front driveshaft from the transfercase. there you go, 2 wheel drive.
The differential on a 1986 Silverado can be replaced with any year differential from 1973 to 1987. The replacement differential must be either a 2-wheel drive or a 4-wheel drive, depending on the type that needs to be replaced.
