Your Winchester 69a has a chrome bolt but blued trigger Is this factory original?

The bolts are always polished and may look like they're chrome, but the give-away will be the bolt handle. The bolt handle should be blued. If the handle is chromed, the gun has been modified, they didn't come in chrome.

No...the Marlin .22 lever action is the Model 39. An amazing history behind the model 39 and they are still made new (39a) and a great gun. 336 is a round bolt where as the 39 is a square bolt, and is also in its current 39a form a takedown model as well.

How do you break down a 22 caliber Winchester Model 1903 rifle?

I would start with the large bolt that protrudes out the back of the receiver from there it is pretty simple. I re-blued mine when I was in the seventh or eight grade and didn't have any trouble. Here is a site with a picture of what it will look like after that bolt has be loosened. http://www.rifleman.org.uk/Winchester_Auto_and_Winder_%20rifles.htm Don't forget the use the correct .22 Winchester Automatic Rimfire cartridges with it if you shoot it instead of .22 shorts, or Long Rifle.

Why does the bolt come completely out when ejecting a fired round in my model 512.?

Well, it would help to know which gun your model 512 is, but for now I will assume it is a Remington SportsMaster 512. The bolt stop may be worn, broken or dirty. Take it to a gunsmith for examination and repair as needed. Parts wear out.

What year was the Model 39A shotgun produced by J Stevens at the Chicopee Falls plant?

OK. The Stevens Model 39A was produced between 1939 - 1947. It was manufactured in 410 guage, with a 5 shot tubular magazine. The 39A is a bolt action shotgun with a 24" barrel and full choke. The barrel is blued and the shotgun has a plain walnut one piece pistol grip stock and forearm. Approximate weight of the gun is 5 1/2 pounds. This is all the information I could come up with. I hope it helps. Elwoodjarman@aol.com
