Many think it is alright to be racist because they equate racism to loyalty and many haven't a problem with loyalty simply because it shows devotion to a certain conviction. People believe that to do that, you're standing your ground and that is something to be admired, though racism is never and won't ever be something to be admired by anyone at all.
