No, no one wished to buy the first telephone until it was proven to work when he made two
Alexander Graham Bell is credited with the invention of the telephone. The telephone was extremely useful because it allowed communication over long distances. It was superior to the telegraph because anyone could use it, whereas the telegraph took quite a bit of learning to memorize and understand Morse Code.
Yes, Alexander Graham Bell had an assistant named Thomas Watson. The famous first words spoken on the first telephone, spoken by Bell, were "Watson! Come here! I need you!" Please see the related link below.

In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell was granted United States Patent Number 174465. There is much debate as to who actually invented it first, as there was another very similar device made by Elisha Gray. Both devices allowed two people to have a 'live' conversation with each other using an electically powered system. The two inventors literally raced to get to the Patent Office to claim the invention as their own and to protect it from the other, and anyone else. Bell got there first, beating Gray by only a couple of hours A rather viscious legal battle followed with Gray claiming the device was his invention and that Bell had stolen his idea. The Courts found in favour of Bell, and it is his name that is associated with the invention of the telephone.
When Alexander was young he helped kiss father use sign langue or in vent sign langue
We can't talk to anyone in different places.
There were numerous individuals in the process of applying for patents for the idea. One was filed mere hours after Bell's application was filed. Reis was one inventor in Germany who's experiments Bell attempted to duplicate.
I swear he's dead... Anyway, I don't think anyone could know that, seeing as I doubt anyone ever asked him. Sorry.
"Bell didn't really invent the telephone: lacked key features we associate with the phone -a ringer (invented two years after Bell's patent) -a dial (invented by Edison) Bell invented the Intercom -Edison probably did more to turn it into a telephone than anyone, We even adopt his greeting (Hello) in preferences to Bell's (Ahoy) But Bell invented something far more important -Microphones and Speakers" http://evolutionarymedia.com/cgi-bin/wiki.cgi?MediumAsInterface,template.html "Bell didn't invent the telephone, He invented microphones and speakers, As a system, he invented the intercom. Users created the telephone: By demanding ways to call multiple endpoints By requiring easier to use summons signals By creating new ways to use the telephone By adopting means of behavior" http://foulger.info/davis/presentations/spheresOfInvention.htm While Alexander Graham Bell may not have been the first to invent the telephone, he was the first to patent it. Based on his invention: "Intercommunicating Telephone System (Intercom) The Kellogg intercom phone...was patented in 1894." http://www.officemuseum.com/communications_equipment.htm
Alexander Graham Bell's worked with a number of scientists throughout his life. His most famous assistant was Thomas Watson, an experienced electrical designer and mechanic (back then, anyone working with electricity was considered a hobbyist or scientist).
