∙ 10y agoAs of May 2014, there is no corporate announcement from Publix that Lowes Foods have been purchased. Lowes Foods are still in operation in their area, so while one or two locations might have been purchased locally, the chain is still existant.

∙ 10y agoNo BiLo did not buy Publix. Publix bought seven stores in the Charlotte NC area for conversion to Publix markets. Publix expects that the stores will be completed sometime in late 2014.
