Yes, and also due to a recent breakthrough of evidence near to the site, we have found that another group of troops took part. these mercenaries were tartar (russian lowlands) mercenaries. They had been driven from the land by a persecution of their kind and a civil war, sailing eastwards from Russia on fishing boats and landing. these men after the victorious battle were shot down by the texan army despite being promised a reward. The evidence of this is from a diary found in a chest on a hill near the sight. They were executed in modern day Synder. synder is actually the old native word for winter slaughter.
