I am asking if there are any known fossils from either the Triassic, Jurassic or cretaceous of quadupedal carnivorous dinosaurs that could serve as a model for the fictional Rhedosaurus created by Ray Harrayhausen for the 1963 movie, Beast from 20,000 fathoms. It would be interesting if there were any carnivorous quads as opposed to the Therapod dinos. There are obviously thousands of unknown species that tragically will never see the light of day since as has been reported, the known fossil record is only a fraction of what actually existed. Some day Homo sapiens will be denizon of that fossil record:-)
the carnivorous dinosaurs are T Rex.
Most dinosaurs were herbivores. There was a wide variety or carnivorous dinosaurs, though, and all herbivorous dinosaurs evolved from the earliest carnivorous dinosaurs. Birds are descendants of carnivorous dinosaurs.
yes, Tyrannosaurus is a carnivorous dinosaur
Spinosaurus
Extinct. Yes, ALL dinosaurs are extinct.
All carnivorous dinosaurs were theropods, but a few theropods were omnivores. Examples of a few carnivorous dinosaurs include Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Dromaeosaurus, and Troodon.
Plant eating dinosaurs foraged for food. Carnivorous dinosaurs hunted for prey.
Peoples Mums
tyrannosaurus Rex
No carnivorous dinosaurs walked on four legs. Some famous carnivorous reptiles that predate dinosaurs are often mistakenly called dinosaurs. An example is the Dimetrodon.
Any animal that walks on four legs is called quadrupedal. Quadrupedal dinosaurs include sauropods, stegosaurs, ceratopsians, and ankylosaurs. Hadrosaurs could were usually quadrupedal, but could walk, stand, or run on two legs.
Carnivorous dinosaurs would eat other dinosaurs.
