Eagle grips or stocks first became used on Colts in late 1881 or early 1882 around serial # 73,400 and continued during the 1890's. The Eagle grips were brownish in color.

Unfortunately not, you can not use these grips at any level of official competition. The grips are against the rules because they have fixed hand positions.

if you cant replace them then you can use white tape its not the same but is a lot better then no grips at all
