No not very state:)
No because if each state where to do so the value of money would go down
No, only the federal government has the authority to issue currency in the United States. Each state is not allowed to print its own kind of paper money.
No not very state:)
Each state having their own money meant that people would have to carry 13 different types of money and each had a different value. This really hampered trade.
States are not allowed to print money because the economy falls under the national government. If every state printed its own money, it wouldn't be worth the same from state to state.
Hi there, I believe the problems that could arise are the same for each nation printing its own money. If you print money, while your productivity, or goods produced stay the same, you get inflation. Each dollar is then worth less. This is the reason why 50 years ago a dollar could buy much more. The world governments basically have been printing money in order to finance their own budgets. I assume you are saying each state gets to print it's own amount of US currency? Or each state having it's own set of notes. The second way you'll have huge problems with exchange rates, 50 different exchange rates, depending on the productivity of each state just within the US! In the first way, then some rogue banker or senator would then have the right to print as much money they wanted which could cause inflation to get out of control. Hope this helps :) Dan
No. Only the central bank of the country can print money. Counties cannot print their own money. They have to get it from the central bank/government. For ex: Reserve Bank in India and the Federal Reserve in the USA are the respective entities that are entitled to print money in their countries (India and USA). Each country has a corresponding entity that prints money for the country's use.
No. The state governments cannot print money - that's the jurisdiction of the federal government. The only way state governments are allowed to mint their own currency is if it's in gold or silver. To the best of my knowledge, no state has ever done this.
denied-the right for a state to print it's own money
