Yes fireworks originated in Ancient China because the CHINESE created a mixture of different powders and ingrediants, it was said that a cook in China years ago made a mixture of gunpowder, saltpetre, charcoal, sulphur and black powder that made an explosion, which the chinese had the idea of making fireworks.
