it starts of when a few dragons live in a village in Scotland but the humans want to attack them so they set off for the rim of heaven. on their way firedrake.the dragon, and sorell,the brownie, finds Ben, a boy, and he helps them on their quest to the rim of heaven. when they a half way their they find out Twigleg, a homunculus, was a traitor who was working for Nettlbrand the golden one who attacked the dragons. so when they finally get there they had to defeat Nettlbrand and they did so they flew home to get the other dragons so they can live in peace away from the humans while Ben lived with professor Greenbloom, the man who helped them on their quest.
