This is hard to describe. The term baptize means to be submersed or totally surrounded. In The Bible Jesus went down into the river to be baptized by John. It did not say he was submerged but it is implied.

Jesus did say in the bible that you must be "born of water and of spirit." This is interpreted to mean to be born physically. of water, and of spirit, of the soul.

Bless you on your journey.

How much of the New Testament do we really need to be saved and has this been condensed as in the red letter versions of the Bible showing Jesus' words?

You don't need to read the bible to be saved, you don't need to read it at all. Jesus just says that it is good for us, fruit for the soul. To be saved all you need to do is confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe with your heart that he died and rose from the dead. That's it your saved. It's then your choice if you want to please Jesus by going to church and reading the bible. Just as long as you have confessed and believe, your saved and Jesus is happy and loves you just the same.

What is the difference between saved and baptized?

Saved and BaptizedBeing baptized doesn't mean the same thing as saved....you can be baptized and not be saved. It doesn't matter.Baptized-to be rebornBaptized is just going under the water as sinful you.But coming out of the water as new you.Example:Joe was dumped under the water in his sin of adultry. But came out happy and not stressed and took his wife and repented to God.Saved-believing Jesus died for our sins and is the son of GodSaved is when someone asks you," who is Jesus?" You say,"The son of God!"And if someone asks you," what did he do for us or you?"You say,"He died for our sins!"Now you know the difference between saved and baptized.....take it from a demon seer!

What happens to a saved person if they are not baptized before they die?

In many Christian denominations, baptism is considered important for salvation, but not necessary for all. Some believe in the concept of "baptism by desire," where a person's intention to receive baptism can be sufficient for salvation even if they die before being baptized. Ultimately, the fate of a person who is saved but not baptized before death is a matter of theological interpretation and varies among different Christian traditions.

Do you have to be saved or baptized for your prayers to be answered?

No. ANSWER: God has no reason to answer an unbelievers prayer UNLESS it is a prayer for salvation. After salvation God will answer your prayers. You do not have to be baptized to have your prayers answered. Your prayers are addressed to God in Jesus' name. If you do not belong to God through Jesus Christ God will not hear you.

Was Jesus baptize?

yes, by John the Baptist (Matthew 3:13-17) When Jesus asked John to baptize Him, John was surprised and said, "I need to be baptized by You! And you're coming to me?!" But Jesus said he had to to fulfill all righteousness. Baptism isn't necessary for salvation, but when you are saved baptism is a commandment from God.

When John baptized people were they saved not by the water but afterward?

People are saved by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Water baptism is a public demonstration singling you out as a follower of Christ. It is not the saving act in of itself.
