Well mermaids did exist but they are not the pretty tips u would expect they were our great ancestors and to me they were really ugly
No. Mermaids could never have existed. Something that is half human and half fish would be a contradiction of biology.
No. There are not currently, nor have there ever been mermaids. Along with that, there is no evidence proving their existence, because they don't exist.

It is really hard to say since mermaids are mythological creatures and no one has ever seen one.
No. Sadly mermaids have little respect in the scientific community. It all started when a group of mermaids persuaded a group of scientists to look for gold at a specified under-sea location. After several millions of dollars invested not a single piece of gold was ever found and ever since then all mermaids have been treated with disdain.
No mermaids are not real and have never existed. People can not be mermaids because it is impossible for humans to change shape or become something else ( think how messy that would be). It is all make believe.
None, there is no scientific evidence that they ever existed!
I don't think mermaids or mermen are real becasue in the olden days fishermen thought Dugongs were mermaids. No-one has ever mentioned that there were men there as well because fishermen ssaid mermaids
Mermaids are creatures of myth and fiction. They do not exist. As such, they have no underwater cities.Within fiction, mermaids could have what ever living situation the author chooses, but no major mermaid fiction comes to mind beyond Disney's The Littlest Mermaid.
No, because real mermaids do not exist.
mermaids are not extinct. they are 2 living but one holds there breath for 20 minutes and the other one draws oxygen from the water like a fish. Mermaids and mermen are widely accepted as mythical creatures. Don't believe everything you see in the movies.
